PORTLAND -- A landscape worker was electrocuted while trimming large hedges in Southwest Portland early Wednesday afternoon, authorities said.
The landscaper's shears came into contact with a residential power line carrying around 7000 volts and he was killed immediately, according to Rich Chatman with the Portland Fire Bureau.
The victim's name has not yet been released.
Crews shut off the power in the area along Southwest Richardson Road during the investigation.
The accident happened just after noon Wednesday.
