HOUSTON –- A father was shot and killed outside his southwest Houston apartment Sunday evening, police said.
It was reported around 7:30 p.m. at the Shadowtree Apartments along the W. Sam Houston Tollway north of Bissonnet Street.
Police said there were no witnesses to the shooting, but a few residents spoke to investigators about the shooting.
“He was a pretty good guy,” said neighbor Jon Williams. “He didn’t bother anybody. He was nice.”
As of Monday morning, the suspect remained at-large.
Those who knew the victim said he recently moved to Houston to be closer to his child.
