Bakersfield police officers have a neighborhood in southwest Bakersfield blocked off after a man barricaded himself in a home and set the house on fire.

Sgt. Joe Grubbs with the Bakersfield Police Department said that at about 10:50 a.m. Friday, Bakersfield firefighters received reports of a home in the 10000 block of Tungsten Street was on fire.
