AUSTIN -- Southwest Austin murder suspect has been taken in custody. He is reported to have a self-inflicted injury and is being transported to University Medical Center Brackenridge hospital.
53-year-old Joseph Frederick Karr was found in a field in the Northern part of Hays County.
Police have identified the muder victim as Kelly Turner, a 43-year-old woman, who was found dead when police responded to a disturbance call around 1:05a.m. Saturday morning on McCarty Lane near William Cannon Drive.

Police say Karr fled the scene in a stolen vehicle, which has since been recovered.
This is the fourth reported murder in Austin in six days.now believe he is on foot in the northern Hays County area.
