Woman dies after being shot in face at apartment in southwest Dallas - Dallas Morning News (blog)

Police gathered evidence this morning at the scene of a fatal shooting in the Red Bird area.(NBC 5)

A woman was shot and killed overnight at an apartment in the Red Bird area of Oak Cliff.

The shooting was reported shortly after 4 a.m. at a complex in the 7300 block of Chaucer Place, near Highway 67 and Camp Wisdom Road.

The victim was shot in the face and taken to Methodist Dallas Medical Center, where she died.

Police are interviewing two witnesses who were also in the apartment but were unharmed.

They have yet to release information on a motive or possible suspect.
