Local WCR chapter to meet


The next Business Resource Meeting (BRM) and luncheon for the Bonita Springs-Estero Chapter of Women’s Council of Realtors will be on Friday, Aug. 9 at The Bay Club, 5200 Pelican Colony Blvd., Bonita Springs. The topic is the Affordable Healthcare Act. The speaker is Ed Gonzales with Lane Insurance Group. Networking, with lunch and industry-related speakers begins at 11:30 a.m., concluding at 1 p.m. The cost per member in advance is $20, $25 at the door, and $30.00 for guests. Educational speakers and networking opportunities are free.


The chapter will also be holding a New Member Orientation and Social event on Wednesday, August 21 at 5 p.m. at Wildcat Run Golf & Country Club in Estero. Admission is free and open to the public. Members and the public are request to R.S.V.P. at www.WCRBonitaEstero.com.


Project completed


Stevens Construction has completed construction of Eye Centers of Florida at 2500 U.S. 41 N. in Naples. The 3,689-square-foot facility features 10 exam rooms, procedure room, staff lounge, reception, optical lab and retail area. The Stevens Construction team included John “JJ” Slaugh as superintendent, Dan Adams as project manager and Sue Ziegenfus as project administrator. GMA Architects and Planners provided the architectural services. Eye Centers of Florida will serve as the Naples office for Barrett Ginsberg, M.D., F.A.C.S., Claudio Ferreira, M.D. and Frederick T. Brown, O.D. under the direction of founder and medical director, David C. Brown, M.D., F.A.C.S.


New Goodwill centers


GMA Architects & Planners has completed the design for Goodwill’s new 11,000-square-foot Golden Gate Retail and Donation Center, which is currently under construction in Naples. GCG’s project manager is Andrew Solon, and the superintendent is Dalton Banks. Completion is scheduled for August.


Designation awarded


Jay Berube, a Keller Williams Realtor with the Encompass Team, has been awarded the Performance Management Network Designation by the Women’s Council of Realtors (WCR). The Performance Management Network is a next-generation Realtor designation designed from the ground up to deliver the real-world skills, know-how and tools to keep an agent’s business out front and on top of an evolving real estate market. Berube is the 2013 Women’s Council of Realtors Bonita Springs-Estero Chapter president.

LandQwest Commercial negotiated this deal:


Starbucks Corp. leased 2,000 square feet of retail space at RiverChase Shopping Center, 11228 U.S. 41 N. in Naples. Michael Daly represented the tenant.


Lee & Associates completed the following sale:


Discovery Village at Naples LLC purchased 6.9-acre lot in Sierra Meadows at 8385 Sierra Meadows Blvd., Lot 8, Naples from Sierra Meadows LLC for $1.794 million. Discovery Village at Naples will be on the southeast corner of Collier Boulevard and Rattlesnake-Hammock Road, and across from Physician’s Regional Medical Center. Construction of the $30 million community is expected to be completed by fall 2014. Jerry Messonnier, Bob Johnston and Derek Bornhorst negotiated the transaction.


Colliers International Southwest Florida completed the following transactions:


Newco Investments Inc. sold a 25,000-square-foot office property along the Metro Corridor at 6360 Topaz Court in Fort Myers to MM & HM Holdings LLC for $810,000. Jim Garinger represented the seller and the buyer.


AnchorBank FSB sold 4.51 acres at 671 Stonecrest Lane in Cape Coral to Jadboir Ventures LLC for $331,500. Fred Kolb and Jim Garinger represented the buyer and the seller.


Thomas F. Peppers sold a 754-square-foot retail property at 3852 Cleveland Ave. in Fort Myers to Burgerque LLC, for $301,000. Dan Miller represented the buyer.


LaserShip leased 10,000 square feet at 6361 Topaz Court in Fort Myers. William Mankin of Colliers International Southwest Florida represented the landlord, Ruby Daniels, in the lease. MJ Brennen with Select Realty Associates represented the tenant.


Florida Fitness Coaches Inc., leased 2,400 square feet in the Shoppes at Audubon at 15495 U.S. 41 N., Suite 102-104, Naples. Karen Johnson-Crowther represented the landlord, GECCMC 2003-C1 Tamiami Retail LLC in the transaction.


Fidelity National Title leased 1,852 square feet at 15611 New Hampshire Court, Suite B, Fort Myers. Karen Johnson-Crowther represented the landlord, Michael and Carolyn Hornung.
