REIS to meet


Don Paight, executive director of the Fort Myers Community Redevelopment Agency, will explain how the public sector is working with developers and businesses to arrange project financing and structure successful projects at the Real Estate Investment Society’s (REIS) August 13 luncheon meeting. The meeting will begin at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, August 13 in the Osprey Room at Pelican Preserve’s Clubhouse on Treeline Avenue at Colonial Boulevard, one mile east of I-75, Exit 136 in Fort Myers. Admission: $25 for members; $40 for guests, which includes lunch. Reservations are required by Wednesday, Aug. 7 at www.reis-swfl.org.


New developer, community


Massachusetts-based Corbelis, national developer of the Willowsford community in Virginia, announced its expansion into Southwest Florida with a new office opening in Estero and the launch of a new master-planned residential community. The Southwest Florida operation will be led by regional President Anthony Solomon, who will also continue his responsibilities for the Ronto Group; Dennis Church, vice president, community development; and Mark Taylor, vice president, development. Their immediate focus will be the development of Lindsford, Corbelis’ new Fort Myers community (formerly known as Waterford Landing). Corbelis is also overseeing the management of the approximately 600-acre Bonita Beach Road property in Bonita Springs, currently in its planning phase. Lindsford is located in the Fort Myers metropolitan area, west of I-75, off the Winkler Extension. Corbelis is a residential real estate developer and management company. Since 1995, its senior executives have acquired, developed and/or managed more than 75 planned residential communities throughout major U.S. markets with a total capitalization exceeding $5 billion. National sales event under way
