A man was fatally wounded this afternoon in a shooting on the Southwest Side in the city's Marquette Park neighborhood.
About 3:30 p.m., a man was shot in the chest on the 6300 block of South Kedzie Avenue, said police.
The man, described as in his 20s, was pronounced dead at the scene. The circumstances leading up to the attack were not immediately available.
As of 4:30 p.m., no one was in custody for the shooting and police were investigating.
