Authorities identify man killed in Southwest Side crash - Chicago Tribune

Authorities have identified at 34-year-old man killed early Monday morning in a multi-vehicle crash on the Southwest Side.


Sandro Santoyo, of the 4700 block of South Avers Avenue, was declared dead at Mount Sinai Hospital at 1:31 a.m. Monday, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office.


Police said Santoyo was behind the wheel of a vehicle that was struck about 12:45 a.m. in the 4200 block of South Cicero Avenue. A driver of a separate vehicle was taken in police custody to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn after striking a pedestrian and at least one vehicle, authorities said.


The pedestrian was taken to Sinai, and the driver of a second vehicle struck was taken to Rush University Medical Center, police said.
