Shooting suspect taken into custody in southwest Denver - The Denver Post

Police have taken a man and a woman into custody following a shooting and a barricade situation Saturday morning in southwest Denver.

Around 9 a.m., police said a male homeowner had been shot in the leg in the 3100 block of West Walsh Place.

Following the incident, police set up a perimeter during pursuit of the shooter. The suspects barricaded themselves inside a residence roughly six blocks away in the 900 block of South Dale Court.

Police negotiated with the suspects for more than an hour. The standoff ended shortly before noon, when the man and woman exited the building with their hands up. Police have taken the suspects into custody.

Currently, the relationship between the suspects and the victim is unknown.
