A 45-year-old Fresno woman was killed Thursday in a one-vehicle crash on McMullen Grade southwest of Fresno, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The crash took place shortly before 6:30 p.m. Fabian Torres, 21, of Fresno was northbound on McMullen south of Lincoln Avenue in a Nissan Pathfinder. The Nissan drifted off the west side of the road, traveled across a grass shoulder and slammed into a wire fence, the CHP said.
The SUV overturned several times. The female victim, who has not been identified, was thrown from the right rear passenger seat. She was airlifted to Community Regional Medical Center, where she died.
Torres sustained minor injuries, as did a 17-year-old male.
