Detroit — Police continue to investigate Tuesday evening an early morning shooting that injured five people gathered in a street on the city's southwest side.
Police say none of the wounds was life threatening. The five victims, three females and two males, all between the ages of 19 and 22, are in stable condition, police said.
The incident occurred early Tuesday morning in the 3000 block of Annabelle in an area southeast of Fort between West Outer Drive and Schaefer.
Shots were fired from a passing white minivan, police said. Based on the number of casings scattered around, police are trying to determine how many weapons were involved.
Police said Tuesday evening they have no suspects.
The two males, aged 19, were shot in the elbow and the hand.
One woman, 19,was shot in the back while an 18-year-old received a grazing wound. A22 year-old woman was hit in the right hip.
All of the victims are from Detroit.

Mentoria Brazill was sound asleep when she received a frantic phone call from her mother saying her brother had been wounded in a drive-by shooting.
The message enraged her.
"I lost my son in a drive-by shooting two years ago," Brazill said.
"I'm so irate. I feel like confronting whoever did this and taking their heads off."
Brazill, who declined to identify her brother, said he was one in a group of five who had gathered outside the well-kept home on Annabelle to celebrate the birthday of a friend.
"Then people just drove up and started shooting up the celebration," Brazill said.
"These are all innocent people who didn't do nothing to get shot ... but they did get shot."
According to Brazill, the attack occurred at about midnight.
"When I arrived, there were three or four police cars on the scene," Brazill said.
"People said it was a gold-colored Rendezvous that did the shooting.
"Blessings that you recover," Brazill said, raising her hand in the air. "You weren't supposed to be hit, baby."

Call it the airline gate shuffle.
Delta Air Lines is being forced out of Dallas Love Field because Southwest Airlines and United Airlines plan to use the gates it wanted.
Southwest plans to use one of United’s two gates at Love Field and United has told the city of Dallas that it will increase service to 12 daily flights in January, according to a city memo. First Assistant City Manager Ryan Evans sent the memo to Mayor Mike Rawlings and the Dallas City Council on Tuesday — one day after the city gave Delta two weeks’ notice to depart the city-owned airport.
Airlines are jockeying for position to expand their flying at Love Field after the Wright amendment expires on Oct. 13, allowing airlines to operate long-haul flights out of the airport. After that date, Love Field will see its number of flights increase by at least two-thirds by year’s end.
United’s additional flights will be to Houston, said Mark Duebner, Dallas’ director of aviation. The airline now flies 14 nonstop flights from Love Field to Houston Intercontinental Airport.
United spokesman Luke Punzenberger confirmed that it will increase service at Love Field on Jan. 7 but declined to provide any details about the flights or its future flying plans at the airport. He also confirmed that the airline has entered into a gate use agreement with Southwest but would not share any details.
That agreement lets Southwest use the United gate if it needs to on a given day and if the gate is available, Southwest spokesman Brad Hawkins said. He called it a “standard business arrangement similar to those in place at other airports across the country.”
Dallas-based Southwest now controls 16 of Love Field’s 20 gates. Chicago-based United has two gates and Fort Worth-based American Airlines has two. American has subleased its gates to Atlanta-based Delta since 2008, but that ends Oct. 13, when Virgin America takes over those gates under a Justice Department settlement as part of American’s merger with US Airways.
Delta — with the city’s help — hoped it could still find a way to fly out of Love Field. The carrier has flown five nonstop, round-trip flights a day from Love Field to Atlanta since 2008 and wanted to add 18 nonstop flights to five cities — Atlanta, Detroit, Los Angeles, Minneapolis-St. Paul and New York.
Delta asked the city to use United’s two gates at Love Field, according to a letter from the city to Delta dated Monday. And Rawlings told city staff in May that he wanted them to find room for Delta. That hasn’t happened.
“Delta Air Lines has been unsuccessful in securing a sublease from any of the airlines currently leasing gates at Love Field,” according to Evans’ memo.
The Wright amendment, which became federal law in 1980, originally allowed short flights from Love Field only to other Texas cities and adjacent states. A 2006 revision required flights to make one stop in the Wright amendment area before continuing on to other U.S. cities. The amendment expires Oct. 13, letting carriers at Love Field operate flights anywhere within the United States or U.S. territory.
American, Southwest and United all have long-term preferential leases with the city for their gates at Love Field, which gives them certain rights, Duebner said.
“The city doesn’t have the ability to order an airline off a lease for an airline that would fly to more cities or offer more flights,” he said. “Our ability was to look at the schedule and determine if gates were being used. We looked at the schedules provided to us, and there was no gate for Delta to use.”
The city’s decision to boot Delta from Love Field will affect about 16,000 passengers — people who bought tickets for travel on or after Oct. 13, the airline said.
“Delta knew in the spring [when Virgin America received approval for two gates at Love Field] that its American sublease would expire,” Duebner said Tuesday. “They continued to sell tickets without having a place to operate out of.”
Delta spokesman Trebor Banstetter said the airline continued to sell tickets from Love Field because “the city assured us they would work with us to accommodate our schedule” until the end of the year.
“We are evaluating our best options for accommodating passengers who bought those fares,” Banstetter said. Delta probably will redirect passengers to Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, he said.
Dallas City Council member Philip Kingston is not happy with Delta’s forced departure from Love Field.
“United has done a historically poor job of utilizing its gates,” Kingston said. “United has provided the city with assurances the city has accepted that it will fully utilize the gates. We need to make sure we’re holding United to its assurances.”
The city plans to monitor gate usage at Love Field every month, Duebner said.
“If this was a thinly veiled tactic just to keep Delta from using the gates, that will become apparent,” he said. “At some point, we knew demand would outstrip supply with only 20 gates. Its a hard situation for us to be in. We like competition.”

Intense storms swept through the Southwest on Saturday, snapping trees and shrouding metropolitan Phoenix in cascading showers while also bringing flooding to parts of Nevada.
The skies above downtown Phoenix were completely gray in the afternoon as strong winds, thunder and rain hit the region. The outside visibility of buildings was almost entirely obscured by rain and clouds.
The storm forced authorities to close a section of Interstate 17 for more than hour due to flooding. Flight departures and landings resumed about 3:30 p.m. after they were halted for an hour at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. But airport spokeswoman Julie Rodriguez said delays are expected into the evening. More than 40 flights scheduled to land in Phoenix were diverted to other airports, she said.
"The wind caused some damage to the roof of Terminal 2 in the baggage claim area and in some of the gate areas. However, all three terminals at Sky Harbor are operational," Rodriguez said in a statement.
Branches and debris littered streets around the city and at least one traffic light was knocked over. Some trees were toppled by the ensuing wind. The Salt River Project utility said that about 31,000 customers were without power as of Saturday afternoon.
Most of the outages were in west Phoenix and suburbs west of Phoenix, with smaller clusters reported in Scottsdale, Mesa and Tempe. Utility officials estimated that power would be restored sometime Saturday afternoon.
SRP spokeswoman Patty Garcia-Likens said the utility was giving ice away to affected customers at two Quick Trip locations.
Phoenix Fire Capt. Benjamin Santillan said firefighters were helping to locate a hiker in south Phoenix stranded by a washed away trail. The woman was hiking with her dog when the rain hit. Santillan said she was able to find her way to a road and crews were using her cellphone signal to find her.
Crews, meanwhile, have been responding to multiple calls around the city of trees falling on vehicles and small electrical-related fires.
National Weather Service meteorologist Valerie Meyers said a record-breaking 1.6 inches of rain has been reported so far. That total surpassed the 1.46 inches reported on this date in 1903. While the storm was starting to clear out in some parts of the city, there would still be lingering showers and isolated thunderstorms into the evening east of Phoenix, Meyers said.
The weather was a mix of Phoenix's first fall storm and leftover monsoon moisture, National Weather Service meteorologist Marvin Percha said.
In southeast Nevada's rural Moapa Valley, heavy rains brought flooding but authorities say that despite a river cresting at a record high, the damage wasn't as bad as what was caused by high waters in the area earlier in the month.
Clark County Deputy Fire Chief Jon Klassen said the only evacuations occurred in the tiny town of Warm Springs, but he didn't know how many people or homes were affected. Roads to the town were flooded and inaccessible.
David Aguilar said an inch of silt came into his Moapa Valley house along the Muddy River.
"All of a sudden, I heard the sound of water," he told the Las Vegas Review-Journal, adding a water pipe also broke, complicating cleanup efforts.
Other residents say the flood left mud and debris in yards, inundated sheds and other exterior buildings and damaged vehicles.
There were also reports of storm problems in Las Vegas, as well as a power outage in Henderson.
