Southwest won 42-13 on the track-like running ability of junior quarterback D’undre Pickett-White and junior running back Trevon Sands.
Two long touchdown runs by Pickett-White were called back because of penalties. He still finished the game with 100 rushing yards and two touchdowns, as did Sands.
Miami High tried to attack Pickett-White with the outside blitz, but left the inside gap open like a wormhole, sending the Eagles quarterback all the way to the end zone.
For Miami, it seemed like it never had a shot in this game.
